Insurance Claims Rep II

The right candidates will assist in answering overflow of 800# calls from homeowner's calling to inquire about how their loss draft will be processed, process checks between $10,000 and $100,000. They will also maintain and monitor a pending of approx 200 construction accounts, request, collect and review various documentation and affidavits required of losses requiring the opening of a "construction account".

Candidates can review and understand detailed estimates/proposals, order timely inspections and understand the results of inspection reports to make a decision on when to order a "draw" (payment to homeowner for repairs) and how much to order. They will access lenders' systems to confirm the status of loans and enter notes into the lenders' system. File notes will be documented in the appropriate places. Duties could also include: opening incoming mail containing checks and documents, logging checks in the "electronic check log", securing the checks in the safe, pulling checks as they are ready for endorsement or forwarding to lenders, and logging the checks out of the "electronic check log".
